· Biography
Alexandra Bidi was born in 2002 in New York, where she began playing the harp at the age of seven at the Scuola Musicale di Milano (Italy) and continued her studies with Beatriz Millán and Zoraida Ávila at the Conservatorio Arturo Soria in Madrid (Spain). In 2016, she joined the class of Ghislaine Petit-Volta at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional in Paris, where she obtained her diploma of musical studies at the age of 16. Since September 2020, she has been studying at the Conservatoire de Paris with Isabelle Moretti while pursuing a bachelor's degree in mathematics at the Université Paris-Dauphine. After several summer orchestra festivals, she received numerous invitations, for example from the Les Siècles Orchestra and the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris, among others. She has performed as a soloist in France, the United States, Spain and Denmark and was invited to perform a live recording for Radio France Musique. As the winner of the first prize of the Martine Géliot International Harp Competition, she recorded her first CD "Bach to Paris" in 2021. In 2023, she placed second at the 72nd ARD International Music Competition in Munich in the categorie harp.
