· Biography
Philadelphia-based double bassist Gabriel Polinsky graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree from the Curtis Institute of Music in 2022. His awards include first prize in the SONE International Young Soloists Competition, first prize in the Alan M. Greenfield Competition, and fourth place in the Irving M. Klein Competition. Gabriel Polinsky, who has been taught by Harold Robinson and Edgar Meyer, among others, also has orchestral experience: he has performed with the New World Symphony Orchestra, the Youth Music Guandong Orchestra, the Tanglewood Music Center Orchestra, and the Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, among others. He won the first prize at the 72. International ARD Music Competition.
